Five arrested as police solves Gandola burglary case within week | KNO

Baramulla, July 02 (KNO) : Baramulla Police Tuesday claimed to have solved Gandola burglary case within a week by arresting five persons including one employee of JKCCC (Gandola) in connection with theft case of 51 lakh rupees.  Police official while confirming the development told KNO that “we have arrested five persons including one employee of JKCCC and the stolen amount has been recovered from their possession.” Notably, on the intervening night of June 23 and 24, burglars struck at cash counter cum account room at Gulmarg Gondola and looted cash of Rs 51 lakh by breaking into the fire-cum-bullet-proof cash chest. Police had registered a case under FIR number 05 of 2019 under section 457, 380 RPC in Police Station Gulmarg following the burglary incident. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Baramulla Ab Qayoom had constituted a team to investigate the case and was solved within a week’s time.(KNO)
